Cheesy Potato Bake

This recipe uses bacon but just miss it out and it’ll be vegetarian! Serves 3.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium potatoes cut into thin slices
  • Cheddar cheese
  • 200ml double cream
  • 300ml milk
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Bacon chunks
  • Fresh basil leaves

Method

Boil some water and put the potatoes in.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees celcius.

Add the flour, milk and cream to a pan to make a simple white sauce and add the cheese (as much as you like).

Fry some bacon chunks until crispy and golden.

Add some basil leaves to the sauce.

Add the bacon to the sauce.

Mix the potatoes and sauce together and bake in the oven in a glass or ceramic dish for 30 minutes or until golden.
